Tea party will hold a presidential convention in Kansas City, Kansas

The Woodlands racetrack will host a tea party presidential convention in Kansas City, Kansas, at the end of September, KMBC’s Micheal Mahoney reported. The official announcement is expected to come Tuesday during a press conference at the Woodlands.
The convention is slated for September 28 through October 2, according to Mahoney. The Rev. William Temple, leader of the Tea Party Founding Fathers, told Mahoney that they’ll conduct a straw poll to determine their nominee.
