Tapes ‘n Tapes — remember them? — coming to Lawrence and Columbia

About four years ago, Minneapolis’ Tapes ‘n Tapes were mas en fuego las blogas, which is a grammatically incorrect Spanish phrase I’ve invented to convey that lots of music blogs were keen on The Loon, their debut album of herky-jerky indie rock.

Then the blogs collectively decided their sophomore album, Walk It Off, was a slumper, and everybody forgot about them. Tapes ‘n Tapes’ third album, Outside, is out in January, and they’re touring on it, making stops in both Lawrence and Columbia.
