at the Community Blood Center of Kansas City, the sponsor of the KC
Live! Blood Drive. The blood starts flowing today at noon at the KC
Live courtyard in the Power & Light District (14th Street and
Grand). There is no cost to attend; the only thing to bring is a
submissive vein. Music will be provided on the main stage by the KC All
Stars, a five-member party band equally capable of busting out hard
rock, big band and David Allan Coe. Tate won’t say whether the musical
selections will have a blood-battered theme. “We’re leaving the
playlist up to them,” he says. Blood givers will receive vouchers from
participating restaurants in the Power & Light District.
