Tame Impala to play stoner music at the Jackpot

Buzzy Aussie four-piece Tame Impala played the Uptown this summer, opening for MGMT. MGMT got mixed reviews, but those who came in aware (or because) MGMT is on a serious ’60s psych kick were more likely to enjoy Tame Impala’s set of stoner-rock riffs and spacey jams.
The band’s just-announced show Monday, November 29 at the Jackpot ought to be less full of teenagers shouting out for “Kids,” and therefore a better venue for experiencing Tame Impala live. Check the video for “Solitude is Bliss” after the jump.
