T. Ester Mason found shot to death near Missouri and Maple; 89 homicides in KCMO
UPDATE (November 1): The victim of Sunday’s homicide near Missouri and Maple has been identified as 42-year-old T. Ester Mason of Kansas City, Missouri.
Original Story (October 31): A double shooting at Missouri and Maple has left one man dead and another in serious condition.
Around 10:12 p.m. Sunday, a shooting victim waved down officers on patrol at 1900 Independence Avenue. The victim, described as a black male in his forties, said he was shot by an unknown suspect around Missouri and Maple. He was rushed to a local hospital. At last word, he was in serious condition.
Officers canvassed the area and found the body of a man in a field in the area. The second shooting victim (described as a black male in his thirties) was dead at the scene.
