Sweaty office workers curse KCP&L’s energy-saving program
Kansas City Power & Light offers a program called MPower, which is meant to reduce energy usage during peak periods like today, when it’s already hotter than two squirrels fucking in a wool sock. Customers who enroll in MPower may get a call from the utility, asking that they turn off lights, shut down elevators and turn down the air-conditioning. In return, KCP&L’s website says, “Your company can earn a discount on summer energy bills of $10,000 or
more.” That’s great for them — but what about you, the sweaty worker bee?
