Sweat and Groove

Vibralux, a band of astral glam rockers, presents Plush, a dance night for the “fashionably, artistically insane.” The weekly event promises a boogie party for the gaudy-inclined. Plush welcomes any and all entertainers predisposed to baring a little flesh and shrugging off the inhibitions of a less-than-fabulous world in order to dance maniacally. Performers from KC’s ever-proliferating burlesque scene are slated to appear. Oh, and fire-breathers will be gleefully accommodated, too. It might be the closest to a judgment-free atmosphere available here in KC. Vibralux’s Mercury Mad is known for his all-encompassing embrace of freakiness, so stuff those dancing feet into your highest platforms, put on that big wig and stomp on down to Korruption at 1717 West Ninth Street (the former Fahrenheit Ballroom) in the West Bottoms tonight and every Thursday night at 11. Call 816-842-1078 for details.
