Supersuckers

Ten years ago, the Supersuckers grilled up a bacon-and-eggs country record on par with anything the country or alt-country establishments could crap out. Like Ween’s 12 Country Greats, the Suckers’ Must’ve Been High was equal parts satire and tribute — a digression in an otherwise walloping rock catalog that the Seattle band touts as the greatest in the world. Recent albums such as Motherfuckers Be Trippin’ and Paid sound like the soundtrack for GN’R-jacket-wearing mofos who stomp on rednecks, and a series of live releases gives props to the groupies who have stuck with Eddie Spaghetti and his pals through two sucktastic decades of lewd and tattooed performances.
