Supergroup Prophets of Rage (Public Enemy, Rage Against the Machine, Cypress Hill) to bring its fury to Kansas City

Kansas City very much jockeyed to get this year’s Republican National Convention. With the more-than-likely occurrence of protests and even violence — and the unflattering footage that will follow — at the Donald Trump-helmed event, we are lucky to have dodged that bullet. Yet, one enviable performance at the RNC is going to be from Prophets of Rage, the supergroup featuring Chuck D from Public Enemy, all members of Rage Against the Machine minus Zach de la Rocha and B-Real from Cypress Hill. The band has promised to cause a “ruckus.” We can get behind this.

Now, KC can enjoy that without having to actually host the RNC, as Prophets of Rage will stop at Providence Medical Center Amphitheater on Monday, September 5 (Labor Day). Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 10.
