If you’re looking for a party tonight, preferably one with acoustical jams, then drop by The Drop (409 E. 31st St.) at Martini Corner. There will be picking and drinking tonight in honor of the birthday of Zhenya Rock of the Red Elvises and various solo projects. He’ll be playing balalaika, guitar, loop station, banjo, dobro, vox and homemade drums. Probably not all at once. It starts around 9. I’ve blogged the Monday folk night at The Drop before. Zhenya must like KC to come all the way up here from his home base in Austin for his birthday, so let’s show him a good time. Or, judging by this picture, let’s let him show us a good time.
