Streetwise podcast features Anne Kniggendorf, the sounds of Blackstarkids, and pandemic escape rooms adventures
I’m a local writer (mostly KCUR right now), and Reedy Press in St. Louis asked me to write a book about Kansas City to add to their national “Secret City” series. The idea of “Secret Kansas City” is that we have all these places around town—some we see all the time and know nothing about, others we’ve never noticed and have never heard of—that all have weird stories behind them. For instance, did you know that the Hereford Bull is anatomically correct? And did you have any idea that Kansas City is HQ for a large, international doll club organization? Here’s a few excerpts from my book that releases on September 1.
Blackstarkids have music. Liz Cook has a piece that is read aloud to you about escape rooms. Please enjoy.
