Steve Tilley thinks we should run for higher office

One of the annoying things politicians do is use the royal “we” to mask their ambition. When a congressman says, “We think there’s an opportunity for us to share new ideas,” he’s really saying, “You know, I think I’d be a kick-ass senator.”

Steve Tilley, the next speaker of the Missouri House, is already looking for his next job. Or at least “we’re” considering it.
