Steer & Beer Directory: Here’s your primer for Saturday’s burger and brew fest

The Pitch’s Steer & Beer may not be a beer nerd’s rare-pour heaven, but it is a haven for the hungry and the thirsty. There are good beers here. VIPs will drink Samuel Adams’ KMF grand cru, Oskar Blues’ Chaka Belgian-style pale ale, and Crane Brewing’s Small Ball Saison while supplies last — and they’ll also get a free slider (from the Flying Saucer, Dempsey’s or Amerisports) to start building a base for a Saturday afternoon of drinking. (VIPs get in at 12:30 p.m.; GA starts at 1:30 p.m.)

There will be plenty of solid beers to check into Untappd — among the 100 pours: Ballast Point’s Mango Even Keel session IPA, Martin City’s Hardway IPA, New Holland’s Dragon’s Milk, Elysian’s Superfuzz blood orange pale ale and Space Dust IPA, in unlimited pours while they last — to keep your tasting glass full.
