Sporting Kansas City’s Teal Bunbury officially is now called BOONBOOREE

Sporting Kansas City striker Teal Bunbury is supposed to be good. Pretty freaking good, actually. Like, he could play for a team in England good. But at only 20 years old, Bunbury and his career trajectory are still being branded and molded. This, of course, leaves him vulnerable to being assigned nicknames and having one highlight tattooed to his forehead until he retires.
While playing a friendly match for the U.S. national team against Chile
on Saturday, Bunbury scored on a pretty un-amazing penalty shot to tie
the game 1-1. The goal would probably only be memorable because it was
his first for the American squad. But a Spanish-speaking sportscaster
for TeleFutura, and perhaps fate, had a different plan for Bunbury’s
goal.
