Sporting Kansas City v. New York Red Bulls

Sporting Kansas City locked up a playoff berth on Saturday by beating the New York Red Bulls 2-0 at Livestrong Sporting Park. After a scoreless first half in which New York star Thierry Henry was ejected, Sporting’s Teal Bunbury struck in the 57th minute, elated the 19,921 fans packed into LSP. In the 74th minute, rookie CJ Sapong sealed the game 47 seconds after entering the game as a substitute with his fifth goal on the season.
