Sporting Kansas City suffers another heartbreaker (video)

I’ve decided that I’m going to write a book about the 2011 Sporting Kansas City season. It’s going to be called Sporting Kansas City and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Season. A season that was supposed to be filled with fanfare for a new stadium, new club name and rejuvenated fanbase has dissolved into a nightmare of bad breaks, injuries and poor performances.

This week was no different. Game before last, the team was a disaster. Sporting stumbled to a 4-1 loss to the L.A. Galaxy and, in the process, allowed a David Beckham goal that will no doubt be shown in montages after his retirement and death. But playing the Sounders in Seattle on Saturday, Sporting seemed like a different and better team.
