South Sea Island Magic’s Gavin Snider illustrates the rock

Plenty of local acts have come up with creative ways of promoting their music over the years: playing shows in odd venues, viral videos, throwing their name on any promotional item that’ll have it. However, I think South Sea Island Magic‘s Gavin Snider might be the first musician to make a webcomic for one of his songs. Check out this fantastic storybook take on “Dream in the Dark.“ If you like what you see and hear, the band’s playing live for the first time in a year at Coda on Friday, April 13, with the B’Dinas. Also on the bill, and playing its first show, is Shadow Paint, featuring members of the Beautiful Bodies, Another Holiday, Reward Tree, and the Kennedy Luck Club.
