Sorie Mansaray shot and killed at 93rd and Bales; homicide No. 31 in Kansas City, Missouri, in 2011

UPDATE: Kansas City police say the victim of Sunday afternoon’s homicide is 29-year-old Sorie Mansaray. Police are still looking for his killer and say no suspects are in custody.

Original Story: Kansas City’s homicide total has climbed to 31. In less than a week, four names have been added to the death toll. The latest came Sunday afternoon when a black man in his 20s was found shot to death outside an apartment complex at 93rd and Bales.
