Starting today, the nightlife impresarios behind the Kansas City Entertainment Group (KEG) will host Tabu Thursdays from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Sake Bar (11658 West 135th Street in Overland Park). “The tag line of the night is ‘Seven deadly sins … we want a recount,’” according to Jeremy Bonewitz, who mans the KEG. “Meaning that what you do here can be counted as a sin, too.” We’re sure it’s not what the Tongans imagined their sacred concept of tabu would come to – but who wants to argue Polynesian linguistics when rock lobsters are on special?
