Short Laughs

Aziz Ansari is a funny little man. He’s a comedic actor of diminutive stature, so that statement is literally accurate. Apart from his numerous film and TV gigs (NBC’s Parks and Recreation or MTV’s Human Giant among them), Ansari also is a stand-up-comedy rock star. Following the success of his Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening tour and Comedy Central special, the cocksure comic brings his new Dangerously Delicious Tour to the Lied Center (1600 Stewart Drive in Lawrence, 785-864-2787). Ansari specializes in escalating the minutiae of his personal life, be it shopping for sheets at Bed Bath & Beyond or attending a party at Kanye’s mansion, with faux-gangsta braggadocio. If you know him as Randy in Funny People, you kinda get the idea. Tickets — $15 for nonstudents, $10 for KU students — are available at lied.ku.edu.
