Shon Pernice says he’s not a party crasher; he’s a victim

Shon Pernice is suddenly talkative, and he’s telling the local TV news stations that he’s a victim.

Pernice told KCTV 5 and Fox 4 that he wasn’t drunk (contrary to the story neighbors are telling) and the neighbor he allegedly stole a gun from threw a grain-alcohol-like liquor into his car, splashing into his eyes and hitting his children. He also blamed the media for his troubles.

From KCTV 5:

“As everybody knows, my wife has been missing since Jan. 2,” Pernice

said. “This is what it stems from. Basically what the media … has

portrayed of me — of the whole situation. There’s a lot of people that

don’t like me.”

Pernice also said he expects new information to come to light this week that will shed new light on the case.

Witnesses told a far sadder story to Fox 4:

During the conflict, neighbors said Pernice’s sons sat nearby on the curb.

“He kept asking his father, ‘let’s leave, let’s go home,'” said Patty. “He even kept saying, ‘no violence, no violence.'”

This is all so sad.

Meanwhile, Pernice’s wife, Renee Pernice, is still missing and believed to be dead. The Star details how the lack of closure is torturing her family.
