Sharon Duffey accused of making up 2-year-old daughter’s kidnapping story

Last month, Sharon Duffey claimed her 2-year-old daughter Syah was kidnapped by a woman claiming to be a social worker. It was a frightening story that sparked a multi-state Amber Alert that ended with the Cass County girl being found in Iowa with her father. Except prosecutors are now saying that the story was just that — a story.

Sharon Duffey is now accused of making the whole story up. KMBC Channel 9 reported that Duffey is charged with making a false report and her daughter is in foster care.
