Shannon Young’s lesson: Sexing a student gets her probation

The 36-year-old former Pleasant Ridge High

School teacher won’t be doing jail time for sexing a 17-year-old student … and buying him a Mustang. 

Young received three six-month sentences for pleading guilty to three counts of unlawful voluntary sexual relations. But her prison sentences were all suspended since she didn’t have a criminal history. Instead, she received a year of probation, must register as a sex offender for 10 years, and undergo a sexual offender evaluation. Her story is a sordid one.
