There may be a Shake Shack coming to Johnson County now, too
Apart from the shooting that occurred outside it last week, it’s been very nice having a Shake Shack on the Country Club Plaza. That salted caramel shake is no joke!
And soon, the Kansas City Business Journal reports, those of you who live in the Kansas ‘burbs might not have to come down to the big, bad, scary city to get your cheesy fries anymore.
On Tuesday evening, the Leawood Planning Commission is holding a public hearing over a request by Drake Development to “tear down the On The Border site in Town Center Plaza and replace it with two smaller buildings,” according to the KCBJ. “Filings with the request state that one of the buildings would house a Shake Shack restaurant.”
The proposed location of the Shake Shack would be on 119th Street, just east of Nall.
