‘Sex Toy Bandit’ Daniel Ray arrested for allegedly stealing sex toys … again

Springfield’s “Sex Toy Bandit” has allegedly struck again. Police arrested 40-year-old Daniel Ray on Wednesday after he allegedly smashed his truck into two adult shops — Adam & Eve and Lilith’s Lair — and stole magazines and “novelty items,” according to the Springfield News-Leader. Aww, yeah.

Ray has been here before. In 2008, Ray was dubbed the “Sex Toy Bandit” after using his truck to smash out the windows of several adult stores and steal magazines and toys. Ray pleaded guilty to three counts of second-degree burglary in those cases. Ray told police that he’d get high on meth, which made “him do crazy things involving sex toys and pornography.” Uh, please don’t elaborate, Mr. Sex Toy Bandit.
