Sex charges dropped against ex-KC cop James Silke

Clay County authorities are dropping a deviate sexual assault charge against former Kansas City police officer James Silke, the Star reported.

Silke, 53, was accused of giving his son’s 19-year-old friend shot after

shot of rum and enticing him into a hot tub in September 2010. The teen claimed that Silke later sexually assaulted him. However, a Clay County grand jury decided last week not to indict Silke on

the deviate sexual assault charge. Grand jurors did indict him on a misdemeanor

count of supplying alcohol to a teenager, according to the Star.
