Serial rapist targeting single women, scouting for victims
Lots of talk about the serial rapist, following a rape that occurred in the 300 block of East 69th Terrace early Monday.
KCTV 5 reports that police say the serial rapist appears to be targeting single women, and they believe the man has spent time in the neighborhoods, scouting victims. Fox 4 filed a similar report.
Police continue to encourage people to lock their windows and doors. In Monday’s reported attack, the suspect entered the woman’s home through an unlocked window.
suspect is described as a black man with “a deep,
smooth voice” who smells of smoke and exhaust fumes. He is said to be
about 6-feet tall,
250 pounds, bald with pitted cheeks and possible acne scars. The man
allegedly told one victim that he is 27 years old, although police
believe he is lying about his age. Another victim told police that the
man “had very bad breath.”
Blog KC notes two Facebook groups — Lets Find This Prick and Waldo/ Brookside Rapist Information Sharing Group — are rallying against the rapist.
