Sen. Claire McCaskill announces support for gay marriage
The same week the Supreme Court is set to hear arguments in a gay marriage case, Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill has announced that she supports marriage equality. On her Tumblr page, McCaskill wrote a post saying her feelings about gay marriage had shifted.
In the post titled after a Bible passage in Corinthians (“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love”), McCaskill wrote, “I have come to the conclusion that our government should not limit the right to marry based on who you love.”
