Seiji on Guitar Wolf, Peelander-Z, and communicating with the universe

  • Takayuki Mishima

Godfathers of Japanese rock and roll Guitar Wolf are legends. Their full-throttle sound is astounding, but it almost plays second fiddle to the sheer cool the trio projects. The band’s appearance in the cult classic Wild Zero endeared it to not only rock fans but also to B-movie afficionados wolrdwide. Guitar Wolf’s show at the Bottleneck this Friday, April 6, with the Transistors, Jabberjosh and the Sluts, looks to be the rock and roll event of the season. Guitarist and lead singer Seiji – aka the Guitar Wolf himself – was kind enough to answer a few questions for us via e-mail.
