SeedCo Studios in Lawrence celebrates new location with a local music fest on Saturday

SeedCo Studios in Lawrence has a brand-new space, and to celebrate the grand opening this weekend, the fine folks over there decided there was no better way than to throw a party. This Saturday, September 13, at Eighth Street and Delaware in the Warehouse Arts District, 21 visual artists and eight local musicians will gather alongside a slew of food vendors and retailers to deliver some good, all-ages fun for the first-ever SeedCo Harvest Festival.
The newly renovated location – located just a block from the old SeedCo Studios, still in the arts district – will offer members a more flexible schedule and modern amenities. This is good news for the Whatever Forever music crew, who can claim family ties with SeedCo. Plenty of these acts will warm the ears of festival attendees this Saturday, too, with live performances from Your Friend, CS Luxem, Oils and more.
With all this arts and entertainment, you’re bound to get hungry. Luckily, there will be a healthy selection of provisions to choose from, compliments of Scone Ladies, Drasko’s, 715, Twisted Treats, Ingredient, Free State Brewery, and more.
All proceeds from the SeedCo Harvest Festival will go toward two youth charities: Healthy Sprouts and Van Go Inc. Tickets cost $8 presale, $10 at the door. Ages 5 and younger get in free.
