Thao and the Get Down Stay Down stop at the resurrected RecordBar in July

We love it when a plan comes together. The relocated RecordBar recently opened at 1520 Grand after losing its lease in Westport last winter, and now it appears that recordBar owners Steve Tulipana and Shawn Sherrill are back in the full booking swing for the new downtown location.

An exciting announcement among recordBar’s newly booked shows includes a stop by Thao and the Get Down Stay Down. Fronted by the powerful, beautiful guitar maven and singer Thao Nguyen, the band is a San Francisco-based rock outfit known for Nguyen’s story-driven brand of guitar-heavy rock. The band’s most recent release, A Man Alive (produced by Merrill Garbus of Tune-Yards), is one of its finest, making this an ideal time to catch them. Even finer in the new recordBar space.

Tickets are available now for $15 via Ticketfly
