Say What?
Here’s a category that VH1 wouldn’t address on its World Series of Pop Culture: Bushisms. You know, the awesome fouls that the president commits against his native tongue. Do you have an assortment of them memorized? Do you know your nucular bombs from your love-practicing obstetricians? Take your best Bush impression to the ImPEACEment Party from 6 to 10 tonight at Gillham Park (40th Street and Gillham Road). The bash is a competition to draw Bushisms from the haunted annals of memory, with bonus categories for the most frightening and pathetic. The event aims to tap into outrage over Bush’s litany of executive orders allowing government to seize our buildings, transportation, food resources and media. But the evening comes with plenty of chances for simple hippie bliss: hula hoop lessons, juggling, fire spinning, drum circles, short films, free bumper stickers, graffiti demonstrations, and a little something termed “’70s group games.”
