Sarah Buxton

By most appearances, Sarah Buxton is living the dream she set out to fulfill when she graduated from Lawrence High School and moved to Nashville.

A decade later, the raspy-voiced singer has co-written a top-five hit (Keith Urban’s “Stupid Boy”), backed up Dierks Bentley on The Today Show and performed at more county fairs than you can shake a chicken at.

But she’s still waiting for her own big hit, and she hasn’t yet released a proper album despite being signed to Disney’s Lyric Street Records (home to Rascal Flatts and Bucky Covington). With one more lucky break, Buxton’s next show in KC won’t be a free one.
