Sam Brownback to join Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s gubernatorial prayer army

Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who is kinda, maybe, sorta thinking about running for the Republican presidential nomination, announced yesterday that he has invited the nation’s governors to Texas for a giant prayer fest. And Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback was quick to sign up for the August 6 event.

Perry is teaming up with the American Family Association, a Mississippi-based conservative Christian organization, to host the event at Houston’s Reliant Stadium.
