Sacramento Kings’ stadium woes continue, but (sadly) they’re still not coming to Kansas City

The Kings are (almost) dead (in Sacramento.) Long live the Kings (in the OC.)

The sports squawkers at 610 AM were trying to drum up hype this morning about the embattled Sacramento Kings franchise moving to Kansas City, after the NBA shut down its efforts to help the Kings get a new arena.

It was pretty fun talk, actually; what sports fan wouldn’t want to revive the old KC Kings? But then I asked NBA know-it-all Ric Bucher to bring me back to earth, and he obliged. Cue the Debbie Downer music.
