“Sabotage” Belatedly Wins A VMA
Look what you did, Kanye: just when Spike Jonze could use a little extra media attention — what with the impending release of Where the Wild Things Are — you have to go and act a goddamn fool.
The Playlist was cool enough to point out that Spike Jonze’s video for the Beastie Boys‘ “Sabotage” won a VMA Sunday night.
I know what you’re thinking: “That came out 15 goddamn years ago. What the fuck?!” Well, my potty-mouthed friend, there was a category entitled “Best Video (That Should Have Won A Moonman),” for videos that are classics, but never won a VMA, for whatever reason. So good on you, Mr. Jonze! Better late than never, I suppose.
