Rufus Wainwright

Hayden Christensen would make a good sex slave. Don’t look at me — Rufus Wainwright said it. “I loooove Hayden Christensen,” Wainwright cooed during a recent phone interview with the Pitch. Fair enough. But young Wainwright still had plenty of other things to say when he wasn’t discussing what to do with Anakin Skywalker’s light saber. The singer-songwriter expounded on topics ranging from Delaware (“It’s pretty flat”) to politics (“You’re either with us or with the Republicans”). But the son of folk icons Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle says even more on his latest album Want One, which had critics drooling all over one another when it was released last fall. Now Wainwright is causing a ruckus as he treads across the country in advance of releasing Want Two later this year. In his time off, Wainwright will be appearing in the upcoming Scorsese flick The Aviator alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Gwen Stefani — a solid pair of prospective sex slaves themselves.
