Royals Top Home Games Before All-Star Break

The first month of the 2014 Major League Baseball season is nearly over and as we are about to head into May it is a good time to see how the rest of the first half of the season looks for the Kansas City Royals. Currently the Royals are one game under .500 after their four game series with the Cleveland Indians after going into the series with a record of 9-8. The Royals will now head to Baltimore to play the Orioles which is averaging $41 for all three games.

Looking forward at Kansas City’s top games before the All-Star Break you can’t help but notice a common trend with the Royals ticket prices, as the five highest priced games from now until then all come against just two teams. For instance the three most expensive games for the Kansas City Royals before the All-Star Break, as well as for the year for that matter, all come against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in their lone trip to Kauffman Stadium in June. The Angels series is averaging $120 with Get-in prices of at most $12 for any game of the series. The New York Yankees are the other team that rounds out the KC Royals Top 5 games before the All-Star Break. When they come to Kauffman Stadium beginning on June 6th New York Yankees tickets will averaging $85 for their series, with the first two games going for $95 and $96 respectively and taking the final two spots in our list.

One interesting factoid is that while the series with the Angels has a higher average ticket price than their series with the Yankees, the Get-in for the Yankees series is double the price coming in with at least a Get-in of $25 for all four games. Ironically enough all of the Royals ten most expensive games come in the month of June, save for a single three game series against the defending World Series Champion Boston Red Sox in September. In total nine coming against American League teams as only the St. Louis Cardinals managed to barely break into the Top 10 as the tenth and final team for their June 5th game which is averaging $92.
