Royals fans have no love for Joe Buck. The Fox sportscaster’s fawning over San Francisco Giants ace Madison Bumgarner’s domination during last season’s World Series created a chasm between the two.

After Buck was named the announcer for tonight’s game 1 of the Royals-Blue Jays American League Championship Series, KC fan Adam Jones started a Change.org petition to ban Buck from the broadcast.

In the letter to Major League Baseball and Fox Broadcasting, Jones’ petition reads:

“Please consider revising your plan to have Joe Buck provide commentary during the ALCS games. We feel that your audience would be far better served by someone less biased, with better knowledge of the game. The commentary he provided last year left a bad feeling with those forced to listen to it that persists even a year later.”

In about 24 hours, Jones has already collected more than 9,200 signatures.

Buck doesn’t seem too bothered by any of this. In fact, he’s rallying the cause.
