If you’re reading this, you survived another bloody weekend in Kansas City. That’s not a flip statement. Kansas City’s homicide count grew by at least three over the weekend.

Sixteen-year-old Romar Phillips was the first victim, found dead in a yard in the 2600 block of Poplar around 1:43 a.m. Saturday.
