Rod Jetton’s assault case being reviewed today

In just a few minutes (11 a.m.), Rod Jetton‘s assault case is scheduled to be reviewed. Not sure what will come of the hearing, if anything.

According to Case.Net, on January 19, the attorneys in the case “agreed to set matter for preliminary hearing without appearance 01/21/10; Agreement accepted by Court therefore no appearance will be needed.”

So it sounds like Jetton will be sitting this hearing out.

Earlier this month, Jetton, the former Missouri Speaker of the House and political power broker, entered a not guilty plea to second-degree felony assault charges in stemming from allegations that he choked and punched a woman during a night of sex.

There are several different stories of what happened.
