Rock posters galore from 1819 Central

As if the impending addition of both a recording studio and guitar store under its roof wasn’t enough for them, 1819 Central is bringing you rock and roll galore over the next couple of weeks — so much rock, in fact, that they’ll have to take it to another venue.

This Friday, February 26, Mid America Manifesto has its finalé. For the last night of the show, the exhibition will move to Czar Bar. In addition to the collection of poster art, there will be garage rock in spades from Brimstone Howl, Bleachbloodz, Runaway Sons and Joey Skidmore Band. That gets going at 9:00 p.m., and is $7.

Next up for the Gallery is an exhibition of Detroit artist Carl Lundgren‘s rock and roll poster art. Starting Friday, March 5, there will be psychedelic posters on display for classic shows from the Who, Jefferson Airplane, Led Zeppelin and more in what is simply called the “Classic Rock Poster Show.”

In addition, that date is will be the soft launch of the Guitar Syndicate, so if you want to “see what’s in store” (their pun, not mine), you’ll have a chance starting that evening.
