Rock & Comic-Con brings together two collector obsessions

For those of you not wanting to wait until the next Planet ComiCon (March 26 and 27, by the way), you’re in luck. Jim Killroy presents the first ever Rock And Comic-Con at the Uptown on Saturday, December 4. Running from 3:00 to 11:00 p.m., the event combines the two things about which collectors obsess: comic books and rock.
Punk and metal bands play live while you browse vendors selling comics, action figures, records, t-shirts, and assorted other collectibles. The idea of being able to look for both cheap Thin Lizzy records while at the same time trying to find the third Transmetropolitan trade leaves me giddy and a little lightheaded enough without the idea of live music being factored in.
