Robinson Cano was booed out of the Home Run Derby
For a week, the hosts of the sports talk shows in Kansas City have been urging fans to boo Robinson Cano during the Home Run Derby for failing to pick Billy Butler, the designated hitter for the Kansas City Royals, to represent the American League. And Monday night, the fans obliged by raining down boos on last year’s home-run champ. Cano failed to knock a single baseball out of the park, and it was then, and only then, that the fans in attendance applauded his effort.
