R.I.P., Rich Cronin: alas, “Summer Girls” will live on

Rich Cronin, of LFO, died at age 35 on Wednesday, after fighting Leukemia since 2005. In case you’re unacquainted with the genius of LFO (which stands for Lyte Funky Ones, by the way), the boy band was responsible for the hit “Summer Girls” in 1999, which was one of the first songs to name-drop Abercrombie and Fitch.

Check this pure, undiluted poetry:

You’re the best girl that I ever did see,

The great Larry Bird Jersey 33

When you take a sip you buzz like a hornet

Billy Shakespeare wrote a whole bunch of sonnets

But seriously: R.I.P., Rich Cronin. Your strangely loyal contingent of fans will miss you.
