R.I.P. reggae pioneer Gregory Isaacs

Sad news to report: reggae legend Gregory Isaacs died today of lung cancer, at the age of 59.
Sometimes called the “Cool Ruler,” Isaacs brought a smoother vibe to reggae, his material veering more toward tender love songs than the politically charged tunes of many of his Jamaican contemporaries. He also released a huge number of albums (view a partial list here). R.I.P.
