Reginald Clemons’ date with death delayed

The state of Missouri was set to kill Reginald Clemons on Monday, according to a report on KSHB channel 41‘s site, but the Missouri Supreme Court delayed Clemons’ date with the needle while the high court decides the legality of lethal injection.

Back in June, the state of Missouri pushed the “pause” button on executing prisoners, staying Clemons execution. The order then was much too late for Dennis Skillicorn.

Clemons

was sentenced to die in 1991 for the murders of Julie and Robin Kerry,

who were 20 and 19. Prosecutors claimed Clemons and three men robbed

the girls, raped them and pushed them off Chain of Rocks Bridge in St.

Louis. The young women died in the Mississippi River.
