Skip Sleyster would be downright furious if he heard the news that three red-light cameras were going live today at intersections along 71 Highway. To be exact:

• U.S. Highway 71 and 55th Street
• U.S. Highway 71 and 59th Street
• U.S. Highway 71 and Gregory Boulevard

Getting rid of the stoplights on 71 Highway was one of Skip’s most frequent “column” topics in the Sunday Star.
