For those unaware, the College World Series will begin June 14th in Omaha, Nebraska and run for twelve days until June 25th. Currently, the University of Virginia is the top ranked school in the land with an impressive 33-7 record. Cal Poly is ranked second with Louisiana-Lafayette, Oregon State and Florida State all rounding out the top five. Florida State boasts one of the more famous college baseball players in recent times, as Heisman winner Jameis Winston pitches for the Seminoles and is their closer with a team leading five saves. In fifteen appearances, he has a 1.17 ERA across 23 innings pitched, striking out 24 and giving up only 12 hits and 3 walks. He’s also added thirty at-bats, with four hits and an additional seven walks. Florida State will certainly need him down the stretch if they are to make it to the College World Series.
In terms of College World Series tickets, an all sessions pass begins for only $140. Typically, the get-in price is about $12-13 per game, though the get-in price for a winner takes all Game 3 championship game is much higher at $39. So according to Red Zone Tickets, fans who are expecting their team to be in it for the long haul should grab the all sessions pass. With a minimum of fourteen games being played, you’d be able to save at least thirty dollars or so by going all in, rather than going day by day.
