Ahh, Record Store Day: The day vinyl nerds, audiophiles and all music lovers unite under one noble banner. We don’t want you to miss anything, so we’ve rounded up the players Here’s what’s happening locally on RSD, Saturday, April 18.
Love Garden Sounds

Store opens at 10 a.m. Special offers include 25 percent off all Love Garden merchandise as well as a 10 percent voucher for every dollar spent on purchases over $50.

Store opens at 8 a.m.; music starts at 2 p.m. Live music on two stages from Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear, the Grisly Hand, Nubiles, Boy Parts, Drugs & Attics, Melkbelly, Lazy, Bummer, Yes You Are, Organized Crimes, the Fog, and the Big Iron. No cover. Donuts ’til they’re gone.
Records With Merritt

Store opens at 8 a.m.; music starts at noon. Live music from Merlin, Mr. & the Mrs., Fake Fancy, Man vs. Animals, Hypnotronic Man, Odd-O-Matic, and Cop Knock. No cover. Food and refreshments will be available.
1415 West 39th Street
7932 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park
Tenth-anniversary and RSD afterparty at the Brick (1727 McGee) — doors open at 7:30 p.m., show at 8. Live music from Starhaven Rounders and Spirit Is the Spirit. Cover ($5) includes a voucher for a $5 Vinyl Renaissance gift certificate. All proceeds benefit KKFI 90.1.
The Vinyl Underground at 7th Heaven
Store opens at 8 a.m. — free coffee and bagels.
And in case you feel like starting early, Zebedee’s will be kicking off the weekend with live music on Friday, April 17:

Starting at 5:30 p.m., live music by Kate Caggianelli, CS Luxem, Miss Mondegreen, and Jacob Bigus and Erick Wray. No cover. The store opens at 10 a.m. on Saturday with RSD exclusives and free giveaways. The sale continues Sunday from 1-6 p.m.
